Looking for Bugs

We went Bug Hunting. 

Our mission was to search for different kinds of bugs.

Looking for those curious bugs 

that like to hop, fly,wiggle and slide.

 If your'e not sure where to find 

insects or bugs try lifting rocks, 

looking on tree trunks and 

exploring around gardens 

and flower beds.

Try scratching the earth 

beneath your feet. There is 

lots to find like ...

cicada shells

ants and beetles

and sometimes busy 

little spiders at work.

Our visit to AJ Seeley's Gully.

For Turangawaewae 2018 we are learning 

about what lies beneath our feet? 

A walk through Seeley's Gully provides 

a window back in time when forests 

and river once dominated this area.
