What a fantastic day we had!
We were welcomed onto Hukanui Marae with a Powhiri.
We learnt and heard stories about the Wharenui Tuturuapapa.
We spent time looking around the Marae taking sketches of carvings, woven panels-tukutuku and kowhaiwhai patterns.
Kapa haka performed and finally, Pippa thanked
the whaanau of Ngaati Wairere for being great hosts.
We have learned so much from this great experience.
